At North Run we actively work to spread God's word to the world around us. We support the Cooperative Program. We offer missions class for each individual in which one can learn more about the needs of people around the world as well as within our own communities.
Preschool programs
We begin early teaching our children about those in this world who do not know the Lord as well as about the missionaries who are working to spread God's word. Children age 2 through Kindergarten participate in Mission Friends. This is a time to introduce them to their community and world. They learn about missions through stories, crafts, games, food and through community service projects.
Children's programs
Girls in 1st through 6th grade participate in Girls in Action or GA's. Boys participate in Royal Ambassadors or RA's. They work to learn more about the needs of their community and world and perform projects to assist in meeting those needs.
Women mission
Women at North Run can choose between several different groups. They may participate in the Helen Quarles Group or the Terrel Group. Both groups of women work on mission projects around the world as well as lifting up our missionaries in prayer.
Baptist men
The purpose statement for our Baptist Men is to be committed to support men, young men and boys in missions, in the local community and beyond. It seeks to develop a fellowship of believers bound together in Christian love and common purpose; to make possible the ministry to others and involvement in missions by providing both actions and learning experiences. The Baptist Men regularly hold breakfast meetings, often with guest speakers, in order to fellowship together in support and love for one another.
Adopted missionaries
At North Run we have two adopted missionaries whom we support financially and prayerfully. They are Martha Moore who is located in Germany and Julie. Julie is in a location in that is deemed dangerous and therefore we are not allowed to reveal her full name or her location.
