“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised . . . .” Psalm 48:1

Our God is GREAT! And we are instructed in His word to praise Him ‘greatly!” Extravagantly! Joyfully! Abundantly! When we worship and walk in this manner it testifies to our faith as well as our dependence on God.

In 1992 I was driving to classes in college listening to radio and I heard Dr. Chuck Swindoll make the statement: “Pray big prayers, because God, in answering them, would have wished they were bigger.” That ran through me like the electrical current of a lightening bold. I nearly had to pull over. Immediately my heart and mind understood and my soul rang out loud and clear, “that’s it! “that’s it!” Don’t limit yourself and expect God to be more pleased due to our ‘humility.’ Humility is strength, His strength in this case, under control, His control! Dream big dreams. Pray big prayers. Praise the Lord greatly for HE IS GREAT!

Preachers preach it, Sunday School teachers teach it, and parents suggest it, but it’s true. If we apply the word, walking as the chosen, loved, forgiven, accepted, adopted, favored child of God we are then we will honor the Lord greatly with our lives, words, and expressions. Live free today, child of God!

See you Sunday with a song in my heart!

-Brother Morgan
