Dear Parents,

What a month this has been!! We have been so busy here at preschool! The four year olds went to Trevett Elementary to see what a "big" school looks like. The four year old classes also had a great time at the Windy Oaks Animal Farm. What a great place!! They were able to see and feed all sorts of animals. Thanks again to the many parents who drove and chaperoned on both trips!

The four year olds also enjoyed a visit from Randall Hurt (Mrs. Hurt's husband) who is a Henrico Co. school bus driver. They saw a video about bus safety rules and were allowed to get on a real school bus! They loved that part! They also enjoyed a visit from Mrs. Alley, Drake's mom, who brought her pet turtles and ferret for the children to see on Zoo Day.

Our family picnic went well-we were worried about the weather, but the Lord worked all of that out for us and we ended up with a beautiful day!! Thanks to all of you for participating in that special day!

Thank you, parents, for the wonderful teacher appreciation luncheon and all the special things you did for our PreKg staff that week. You are so good to us! A special "thank you" to Sherri Talman for doing such a great job as room mother coordinator this year!

On Wednesday the children will have a special picnic lunch with their teachers. Please send a lunch and a drink with your child tomorrow. We will not have snack tomorrow. We will dismiss at our regular time tomorrow.

On Thursday, May 22nd, WE WILL DISMISS EARLY (10:45 A.M. FOR THE 3'S & 10:55 A.M. FOR THE 4'S). We have found that is good for the children to have a chance to get in a good nap before the "big night"! Please have your child back in his/her classroom NO LATER than 6:45 p.m. Thursday night. You can pick them up in their classrooms after the program is over and join us for the reception. Please do not leave the sanctuary until the program is completely over-every child deserves to have equal attention during the graduation program. There are picture collages of the school year displayed on the walls in the hallway outside the fellowship hall. We hope you will enjoy looking at them!

Thank you so much for a wonderful year. I have received so much encouragement and support from everyone this year and I really appreciate it! I am looking forward to a little break and then gearing up to prepare for next year. Remember-if you have a child coming here next year, you need to have a health form filled out for them before school begins next September. These health forms should be available at your child's doctor's office-they are the same ones used for kindergarten physicals. You can mail the completed form to me this summer at 2100 Lydell Dr., Richmond, VA 23228 or give it to your child's teacher at the home visit in August. Thanks!
